Boston Bruins' Scoring Legend Phil Esposito

By Ross Everett

Though his scoring records have been obliterated by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, former Boston Bruins/New York Rangers center Phil Esposito is still regarded by hockey cognoscenti as one of the greatest offensive players in the history of the game. He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as is his brother Tony Esposito who was a standout goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Esposito was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and his prodigious hockey talent quickly became apparent. He was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a teenager, and made his NHL debut in'64 quickly earning a spot on the teams top line between Bobby Hull and Marcel Dionne. In'67, Esposito was traded to the Boston Bruins along with Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield. Within a few years Hodge and Stanfield blossomed into All Stars, while Esposito quickly took his place alongside his former teammate Hull as the best scorer in the league. Suffice to say that Boston fans were of the opinion that theyd gotten the best of the deal.

It wasnt long before Esposito started to destroy long standing NHL records. In'69, he became the first NHL player to top the 100 point mark (combined goals and assists) for the season"he obliterated the record with 126 points, which would be the first of six times that hed top the century mark. He topped 100 points in five straight seasons between'71 and'75, missing a sixth straight season by a single point with 99 in'70. Bruins fans were fond of displaying car bumper stickers that read Jesus Saves; Esposito scores on the rebound.

In the'70-71 season, Esposito smashed the NHL record for most goals in a season with 76. That record stood for over a decade until Wayne Gretzky scored 79 for the Edmonton Oilers in'81-82. Gretzky also broke Espositos single season points record of 154. Even now, only four other players including Gretzky have scored more than 150 points in a season and only five others have scored more than 76 goals in a season. Perhaps the most amazing element of Espositos game was the frequency with which he put the puck on net"Espo had 550 shots on goal in'70-71. No one has since come close"in fact, just last Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals became the first player to come within 100 shots of Espositos mark.

In'75, Esposito was traded with Brad Park to the New York Rangers for Brad Park, Joe Zanussi and Jean Ratelle. He had slowed somewhat, but was still enough of a valuable player and team leader that he was named the Rangers' captain. He remained a very dangerous scoring threat until the end of his career.

After his retirement in'75, he remained active in hockey. He served as the GM of the Rangers before helping secure an expansion team for Tampa, Florida in'92. Esposito served as the President and GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning until'98. Esposito now hosts a daily hockey radio show on XM Radio, and has even done some acting appearing in a recurring role as a fire chief on the TV series Rescue Me.

Enhanced Sound for Music Gigs

By Lance Winslow

I've been to a lot of live gigs lately, small bands playing in little pubs, and I've seen the identical scene every time. The fold back is on verge of feedback nonetheless the singer desires more, the whole mess is painfully loud and screeching, and also the band are looking nervous because there are far more people walking out than there are walking in. The space in front of the stage is a sonic void that no-one wants to pass through, let alone stand in. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what is wrong: IT'S ALL TOO LOUD.

What is the matter with musicians and small public address systems is it too hard to perceive that a box containing two fifteen inches. drivers and a horn isn't any match for two quad boxes, a bass amp, and a drum kit at full blast. Obviously, musicians do not understand the fundamental principles of excellent live sound. So, I now present "Four Steps to Better Sound through Little public address systems".

Step 1: Garbage in, garbage out

This is so blatantly obvious, I am unable to believe I'm writing it. If you sound sort of a wisp on stage then you'll sound like an amplified wisp through a public address systems. On the other hand, if you sound smart on stage, a sensible engineer will build you sound nice - and you will blow away the other bands that also sound like wisp. So how do you sound sensible on stage?

Step 2: Play balanced

Sounding good on stage begins by sounding good in the rehearsal room. Next time you're in practice, move into the middle of the band and take a careful listen. Could you hear all the instruments clearly? Is anyone instrument dominating the others? Will it sound sort of a outlined musical event, or sonic mush? If it's sonic mush, you've got got to do something concerning it.

Step 3: Play soft

With all the instrument amplifiers all the way down to zero, start playing a song. Listen to the drums. Change the extent of the PA thus that the vocals are in a good balance with the drums. Take it slow to induce it right, because the vocals and the drums are your points of reference. Now, start turning up the bass amp until it sounds balanced with the drums and vocals. Add the other instruments, one at a time, turning their amps up slowly until they match into the right balance within the room. If an instrument drowns out the vocals or drums, it's too loud. By now, you should be able to hear a much better balance of the band, and the PA system will not seem like a useless piece of howling wisp.

Step 4: Learn to love it

I understand what you are thinking now: "my amp is not giving me the correct tone", or "I can not get enough sustain", or any of a zillion different excuses for turning your amp up. Bad luck. The fact is that if you would like to sound sensible through a little public address system, this can be your only option. There are solutions to most of those complaints that do not need turning up the amplifier.

Now that you have got your volume settings and instrument layout sorted, use the same settings and layout once you play live (however turn the vocalist around to face the audience, after all!). Keep your amps playing to yourselves, and let the PA play to the audience. You will get abundant better live sound, and you may have far less issues with fold back. If the venue's PA is particularly little, work with the sound engineer. You will should repeat these steps throughout sound check.

Qualities Of A Good Green Screen LA

By Phil Guye

One of the advantages of videos is that many people enjoy interacting with them. You can make them fun, easy to watch, and even interactive. This makes it feasible to drive more people to find and watch them which is one way of enlarging your target audience traffic. It is important that you make them respectable too. One good idea is using a Green screen LA. This is a video making strategy which permits you to mix two screens or frames together.

One of the qualities of Green screen LA is that it makes characters and photographs that it creates clear and simple to see. It is simply a breeze to see characters displayed on this medium as opposed to a video made using a web based program. As a result, you don't have to fret when making a business show to a huge number of folk. This medium permits all kind of characters to be shown properly without any kind of interference.

One quality to look out for when creating videos using Green Screen LA technology is known as the afterglow effect. This is more common when scrolling up and down on the green screen, which has a tendency to leave a glow, which has effects on the quality of characters on view. When picking a green screen you need to ensure you don't encounter this problem as to make sure that your display is easily comprehensible. A good idea to remedy the issue of afterglow is to ask someone knowledgeable in the field to recommend you a screen warranted to give you the least Problems.

You must also look out for a Green screen LA that have high absorbance. A green screen with an amount of high absorbance will make it a lot easier for you to work with. Since you'll need to use lots of lighting, an absorbent material allows the green screen to reduce the issue of glow effects, making it difficult for you to display your photographs in the right way. The reason is that it has effects on how clear characters and photographs appear on the screen thus giving you poor output. Good quality green screens should give you very little reflectance in the slightest. Make sure your screen has as little afterglow effect as feasible. This guarantees you clear characters when making final displays.

One of the common uses of a Green screen LA is in TV and film productions like weather reports and films that need extensive, grand images. The green screen permits movie makers to make illusions, battlefields, and fantastical creatures that would otherwise be difficult to portray on the big screen. The type of work you need to use on your green screen also determines the quality of green screen you must pick. In the case of a TV display, the size of the green screen also matters. The rationale is that vicinity and distance from the screen affects overall image display. As you combine the two frames to be used in the demonstration of images or characters it's important to test out how even they are. This might affect lighting and create some type of reflection which ends in poor pictures.

Why People Like To Sign Up For A Magazine Subscription

By Milrika Ekilski

I like to sign up for a magazine subscription because there seems to be a lot of good things in a magazine. I like to read about news and things going on with celebrities. I also enjoy looking at magazines because they have a lot of interesting pictures in them.

When you want to get a subscription to a magazine all you have to do is look online. Companies seem to go to great lengths just to get someone to buy their magazines. I have seen where companies will even offer several other things just to get you to buy their magazines.

I always hate when I have to go through so much trouble just to get a magazine. Like when I go through several surveys and a bunch of crap only to get a magazine that I am only going to read a couple times before I throw it away.

I enjoy a magazine more when it has a lot of information in it. I like to look at pictures of fashion, pets and also vehicles. My fiance usually gets truck magazines and these can be expensive at times. If he gets a subscription then it is not a bad price at all.

It does not matter where you get a magazine subscription from as long as you enjoy it. Some companies offer you a full refund if you are not satisfied with their magazines. I have not ever ordered a magazine that I did not like.

If you have never tried a magazine subscription yet I think you should give it a try. Trust me you will save a lot of money and you will not even have to leave your house because they will come straight to you. Think about it and once you decide to get some magazines then you can find millions of different sites that you can sign up for them.

Lean to Play the UK Lottery

By Tom Martens

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the games and lottery terminology, and you'll soon be on your way to playing. Being new to the UK Lottery is no excuse for not playing.

To begin, there are a number of instant win games to be played online, such as EuroMillions, Dream Number, and Lotto.

EuroMillions consistently offers huge jackpots thanks to the participation of nine European countries. Jackpots usually start at 9 million and grow as the jackpot goes unclaimed. You play by selecting five main numbers, 1-50, and 2 Lucky Star numbers, 1-9. You can play up to four lines on a single play slip or up to five slips with multiple tickets. You can play the same numbers for as many as four weeks. All you have to do is match three numbers in the correct combination to win from one of the 12 prize levels. If you match the five main numbers and the two Lucky Star numbers you win (or share) the jackpot!

Generally tickets for the EuroMillions are sold everyday until 11 p.m but for the fridays when tickets are sold till 7 p.m. You can watch the results on BBC One at 11:35 p.m on fridays or the results are readily available online from 10 p.m onwards.

Lotto works similarly. You can enter your own numbers, 1-49, or, if you're playing online, you can choose "Lucky Dip" for a random number selection. Play as many as seven lines of numbers on one play slip or up to 35 lines on multiple tickets. You can select which draws and the number of weeks you wish to play. You can play as many as eight weeks starting with the next draw date. Winnings are based on the number of matches on your card.

You can also play Dream Number on your Lotto play slip or by itself. The Dream Number is a 7-digit number that gives you the chance to win up to 500,000. There are scores of Instant Win games including those based on Scrabble, Monopoly and those based on upcoming holidays and events. Prizes range from 8,000 to 100,000 and more. Playing is simple and winnings are, obviously, instant!

You can get even more comfortable with playing the lottery by learning some of the terms. Here are a few you'll need to know. Bearer instrument - Any item (including paper lottery tickets) that gives the person holding it the right of ownership. Regardless of who buys a paper lottery ticket, the person who has it in their possession can claim any prize it wins.

Bonus Ball - An additional number selected after the primary numbers are drawn, as in the UK Lotto game. It has no bearing on the winning jackpot number, but can earn a better prize for the runner-up.

RNG - A random number generator, or RNG, is a computer program that creates a completely random sequence of numbers. When a jackpot is not won it is considered a rollover, which will then usually be added to the next jackpot.

Actual Day Photography In Singapore

By Bruce Wong

The two most important people on a wedding day are, certainly the wedding couple. An excellent idea would be to isolate the couple from the ongoing celebrations so that the photographer can capture the beautiful intimate moments between them and create some everlasting portraits This helps the couple to get away from the delight of their wedding as well.

Ideally, the photographer would be required to spend a casual amount of quality time with the bride and the groom during the portrait session. But this does not always happen since time is rarely a luxury anyone has; on the actual day. The time taken for pictures can well vary from an hour to no time at all. It can take up to an hour for the photographer to take the pictures.

The photographer will require some time with the bride and groom, but when is a good time?

Since the couple will still look fresh, most photographers believe that the window before the reception is suitable for the portraits.

Award winning photographer Bradley Hanson says that sometimes the bride and the groom would want to start the portrait session even before the ceremony. When the bride is getting ready is when he usually starts photographing.

Other photo journalists believe that the right time for a portrait session is just after the couple has exchanged their vows, and are still are evidently feeling the emotions of being newly-wed.

The couple should set aside some time with the photographer so the perfect actual day photo shoot will be flawless. They should find ways to politely lose the relatives and guests to acquire the beautiful moments, so that they can be cherished for a lifetime.

A good portrait session on the actual day can be ruined by too many people trying to photograph the newly-weds. As a result of this, most photographers choose to have the couple alone for the shoot so that it is not disturbed by anyone.

Most newly-weds start feeling uncomfortable before the camera when the portrait shoot is going to take place, says Shawna Herring, award winning photographer. Professional photographers try to talk to the camera-shy couple about things other than the portrait session so that they forget the camera is even there.

It is also recommended to choose a day before or after the wedding for the photo shoot and go with the photographer to a different location. To have a good relationship with the photographer this really seems to help loosen them up. In a short time, the couple may even forget the existence of the camera.

It is at times impossible to achieve the perfect alone time with the photographer due to a variety of reasons. Working together with the bride and groom will help to achieve the creative portrait session.
