By Becky Harry

If you are looking for a great family holiday, without having to break the bank, the island of Majorca is full of opportunities. Majorca is the largest of the Balearic islands. It is full of resorts but each resort offers different things and provide for a different type of market. Sa Coma is one of these resorts and apartments in Sa Coma make for the best choice for a cheap family holiday.

However, it is certainly not boring and there are plenty of entertainment venues on offer including a number of British owned bars. All the other activities that you would normally take part in and the island such as water sports including windsurfing and diving are also on offer.

It an ideal place for a family holiday and also boasts some of the finest beaches in the island. However, accommodation is the most important issue and finding the right sort of accommodation can make or break a holiday.

There are plenty of hotels on offer but you may find it better to rent an apartment. Your travel agent should be able to organize an apartment rental for you and there are various advantages that you get if you rent an apartment over staying in a hotel.

One of the best things about renting an apartment is the you can also self cater which enables you to save even more money. Though you don't have to self cater, the facilities will always be there amongst other things. You don't have to worry about irritating interruptions and intrusions on your privacy as you normally would with a hotel.

Prices vary considerably, but you will spend more on in season. This is always the case in Majorca; summer is considerably more expensive than September and beyond. Also, Majorca gets very hot in the summer and not to mention very crowded so if you want to avoid this, going in September or later is a great idea.
